Comments: This was taken in Feb.'03 at the Grand Canyon. There are, for me, two big things about this photograph. First of course is the subject of the title, the Shadows which are on the path. It's great the way Janet has managed to use shadows to move your eye right through the picture instead of the fence itself which would, I think, normally have been the case. A clever idea.The second thing that makes it a POTD for me is the really good use of the "digital darkroom" to create the sepia effect. The result is an extremely powerful image which may not have been quite as strong in colour. Great stuff all round.
